Marketing Yourself in Your Job Transition
Reality can be harsh. For every job you would be interested in there are many candidates and some will be as or more qualified than you. That is why it is essential that you sell yourself and the first part of sales is marketing.
Marketing during a job search is how you package yourself so that people will want to refer you to others, give you testimonials, interview and hire you. It’s not what you say during an interview [that is more like sales] but it is everything else. By the way, during the interview your efforts to package yourself might just get you to the next interview or offer.
